BIO

Jeffrey Charles Stanley | JCS (born Paducah, KY) is an interdisciplinary artist. JCS received an MFA in Transmedia from The University of Texas at Austin, and a BFA in Painting from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Stanley’s work combines video and objects to build stories and environments about ecology and the human experience. JCS works across media arts, institutions, and public platforms to produce insight, share knowledge, and expand consciousness.

With creative computation, JCS’s artist practice grows to include projects in application development, robotics, and neural networks which act as provocative/critical statements about our info-tech and bio-tech driven world. As these methods transform creative output, the main body of works exist as physical installations: sound, light, and other traditional and emergent media physically present as objects and projections.
